Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Radiance Glamour Lounge (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses personal data when you visit our website, book a beauty treatment, contact us by phone or social media, or visit our salon in Stockport.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have questions, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
1. Who we are
Radiance Glamour Lounge
12-16 Prince’s St, Stockport SK1 1SE
Phone: 07857 579631
We are a ladies-only hair and beauty salon in Merseyway Shopping Centre, Stockport.
2. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details: name, phone number, email if provided, and any contact details you give when you call, message us, or submit a booking request on this website.
- Booking details: treatment requested, preferred appointment date and time, and messages you send by phone, Instagram, or through our booking form.
- Client records (treatments): consultation notes, allergies or contraindications you share, patch test results, treatment records and aftercare given.
- Payment information: payments are taken in salon (cash or card) and online by card when you book or buy products. Online payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details; we keep a record of the amount, date, and a payment reference.
- Order details: products you buy online, the amount paid, and the email you give for your receipt.
- Website and technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, and cookie preferences (see section 6).
Please do not send us sensitive personal data unless we have asked for it and explained why it is needed for your treatment.
3. How we use your data and our lawful bases
UK GDPR requires a lawful basis for processing. We rely on the following:
- Contract: to take bookings, deliver treatments, and communicate about your appointment.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries, maintain client records, manage no-shows, and keep our premises secure. We balance these interests against your rights.
- Legal obligation: where we must keep records for tax, insurance, or health and safety purposes.
- Consent: for non-essential cookies and where you have given explicit consent. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. Bookings, payments and orders on this website
When you submit a booking request through our website, we collect the details you enter (such as your name, phone number, treatment choice, and preferred time) to contact you and arrange your appointment.
When you book and pay, or buy a product, online, we also process your order and payment. Card payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe, who receives your card and contact details to take the payment securely. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded, the amount, and a reference, but not your full card number. We use this to confirm your booking or order and to send you a confirmation or receipt. We do not use these details for marketing unless you have separately agreed to that.
5. How long we keep data
- Enquiries: typically up to 12 months if you do not become a client.
- Client treatment records: in line with industry practice and insurance requirements, usually up to 7 years after your last appointment.
- Financial records: 6 years for tax purposes.
- Cookie consent choice: stored in your browser until you clear site data or we update our cookie approach.
We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses cookies and local storage as follows:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function, including your theme preference, accessibility settings, and cookie consent choice stored in local storage.
- Optional (with consent): analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site, and third-party cookies from embedded content such as maps.
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or decline optional cookies. You can change your browser settings to block cookies at any time.
For more on PECR and your choices, see the ICO guidance on cookies.
7. Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:
- Service providers who help us run the business (for example website hosting), under contracts that require them to protect your data.
- Stripe, our payment processor, to take and confirm online card payments. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy and appropriate safeguards; see Stripe’s privacy policy.
- Professional advisers such as accountants or insurers, where necessary.
- Regulators or authorities if we are legally required to do so.
8. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request erasure in certain circumstances;
- restrict or object to processing in certain circumstances;
- data portability, where processing is based on consent or contract and is automated;
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, call 07857 579631. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We aim to reply within one month.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO):
10. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, or unauthorised access. No online transmission is completely secure.
11. Children
Our salon is ladies only and intended for adult clients. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
